Rene Descarte is often attributed with popularizing the phrase “Cogito Ergo Sum” or “I think, therefore I am” (though, to be nitpicky what he actually said was “Cogito Sum”, I think, I am). As profound and life-affirming as that one phrase is, I believe it is inadequate.

My belief is: Cogito Ergo Es.

I think, therefore, YOU are.

It is not enough to believe that we become what we believe, rather, my conviction is that the entire world becomes what we believe. If you think life is fair, then it is fair, if you believe in war, there will be war, if you believe in love, there will be love.

Cogito Ergo Es. The very fabric of life is built upon the mental projections and convictions of the ego.

And through it all, these are some of the things that have made its impressions on me.
